A: [Definition] Agile Product Development is an incremental and iterative development paradigm for the entire value chain (hardware, software, systems, supply-chain, etc.) to develop and deliver a product bringing the highest value to your customer as quickly as possible. It enables innovation and creativity and targets reduced cycle time, increased productivity, as well as higher quality.

Agile Product Development suggests values (philosophy), principles, and practices which are congruent and implemented through the Agile Product Development Framework (Team & Enterprise).

[Basis, Origin] Agile Product Development draws on Agile values primarily from the Agile Manifesto and the Declaration of Interdependence published by the Agile Project Leadership Network (APLN). DSDM Atern and primarily Scrum are the blueprints for the Agile Product Development Framework. A: No. Scrum was initially utilized by Agile Software Development organizations. Scrum's scope was later expanded to "manage any type of work" as the framework was applied beyond pure software development environments.

You will find that most training and consulting firms as well as the majority of the Agile community shares this software-centric background, hence focuses on Agile Software Development. We do not. We focus on Agile Product Development.
